Sunday - Friday, January 6-11, 2019

$550 from participant, $550 from sponsoring Synod, for total cost of $1100 •  $300 for spouse (includes lodging, transportation and food)

WHO should attend? ELCA rostered ministers and spouses who are facing a critical
discernment in their ministry, such as:

• a current call which does not seem to be a good fit for their gifts
• whether or not they are serving in a vocation that fits their strengths and gifts
• if they might be better suited for a different form of ministry within the ELCA

WHAT is Reflect, Renew, Recommit? A five and a half day spiritually-grounded retreat that utilizes personal
reflection, small group conversation, and well-researched tools and exercises to enhance self-understanding.
We will identify core values, interests, personality characteristics, strengths, and gifts for ministry.

Facilitated by  Dr. Harvey Huntley – DR. HARVEY HUNTLEY, JR., is a retired ELCA pastor and now a member of the Orthodox Church in America. Previously, he served for 16 years as the Region 9 regional coordinator. He has completed advanced graduate study in career counseling at Johns Hopkins University and has extensive experience leading seminars for rostered leaders in career transition.

Deacon Tammy Devine, ELCA Wellness Manager – DEACON TAMMY DEVINE is the ELCA Wellness Manger, serving the church through Portico Benefit Services. She frequently collaborates with thought leaders to facilitate and motivate whole-person lifestyle choices and serves as an external wellness consultant and coach to integrate well-being throughout the ELCA.

Join quilting expert Holly Anderson for a weekend of stitching and fun!

We are excited to extend a warm welcome to quilters of all ages to experience the 2nd Annual Quilting Bee at Lutheranch. This year we will be looking forward to Spring as we work on quilts and projects that use flying geese as a primary building block to new and interesting quilts. Learn how to make flying geese using a variety of techniques, including dimensional ones. You are also invited to work on your own project(s) and share your inspiration and talent.

Holly will have an evening trunk show with plenty of stories and antics. You are invited to share your quilts and quilting adventures during show and tell. It’s always great to learn from one another.

Two tracks, each led by a professional counselor, will offer advice and resources for those struggling with parenting their parents or unsure how to best parent adult children. In this retreat, we will explore our whole unbroken selves amidst our life stores, which we offer up freely and joyfully to the world. Designed for rostered leaders, but open to anyone in the midest of a life transition. Whether that be retirement, new call, divorce, loss of a loved one or emotional distress. Whatever your transition, come away to Lutheranch to listen, discern, and connect with God and others in transition. The retreat offers the rhythm of liturgy that includes music, scripture, poetry, and time for individual and small group reflection within a sacred, safe space. Participants are invited to pause, listen and gain claity.
